What’s so special?
The TAG Heuer Carrera Automatic Chronograph CV2016 is part of the brand’s long-running Carrera line, first introduced in 1963 by Jack Heuer. Named after the legendary Carrera Panamericana road race, the collection was designed with motorsport enthusiasts in mind, blending clean, legible design with precision timing capabilities. Over the decades, the Carrera has become one of TAG Heuer’s most iconic models, evolving in style while retaining its racing DNA. The CV2016, produced in the modern era, reflects TAG Heuer’s blend of sporty elegance and professional-grade chronograph performance.
This model is powered by the TAG Heuer Calibre 16 automatic movement, based on the reliable ETA/Valjoux 7750 architecture showcased beautifully by the display case-back. Known for its durability and accuracy, the Calibre 16 offers a 42-hour power reserve and a quick-set date function, along with a 12-hour chronograph complication. The tachymeter scale on the bezel allows for measuring speed over a set distance, making it a functional tool for racing or timing events, just as intended in the Carrera’s original spirit.

Applied silver-tone hour markers and slim baton hands give it a clean, modern look, while the date window at 3 o’clock is neatly framed by the TAG Heuer shield. The polished stainless-steel case is complemented by a fixed tachymeter bezel, and this piece is paired with a black perforated rubber strap with a deployant clasp embossed with the TAG Heuer name, enhancing its sporty appeal. This model comes to you with unknown service history but showing excellent rate and amplitude on the timegrapher and no evidence of requiring one.
