The 6117-6419 Navigator Timer marks Seiko’s second attempt at a pilot’s watch and an innovative one at that. The 24 hour bezel has been repositioned inside the case so it’s less likely to get bumped, and divided into two haves. Blue for nighttime and red for daytime. The case is a unique design with sleek aviation inspired lines.

Why SWC loves it

The Seiko Caliber 6117 continues Seiko’s tradition of accomplishing the same functionality of Swiss movements in half the parts. By gearing the GMT hand directly to the center wheel and allowing the outer bezel to rotate, Seiko accomplished the GMT functionality without much additional complexity over a standard movement. Plus, this movement features Seiko’s automatic winding magic lever system. A system so effective that there is no manual wind at all! only a small shake of the watch is needed to get it going from fully unwound.

About this example

This example comes to you freshly serviced by SWC and in remarkable original condition. The dial and hands are original and wonderfully preserved. The case has minor polishing but retains its original geometry well. The inner bezel is correct and rotates completely 360° and has enough friction to stay where you put it. The crystal is authentic and in excellent condition. The black charcoal “Resist” dial is in good condition with some hand rubs. Comes on a high quality aftermarket nato strap that compliments the dial well. All movement functions work perfectly and the watch is keeping excellent time.
